Had 05, excursion. From the very beginning had slide problems, plus so many can,t list. However slde was so dangerous, would slide out when driving, nerver regularly worked. Couldn,,trust unit because myself and dog. So couldn,t use, let sit in storage or most of the time at dealserhip for repair. Have federal suit against fleetwood ( not legal term ) in ability to use for safe reaons, dependability etc

Think the equation: Stock on new 08's will dwindle,few 09's:market gets slowly back sales up demand their and guess what" no newer rigs: not good now,but the 1st thing RV'ers do is buy a new rig if deprived for a few years. I'm buying fle" fleetwoods symbol,Also the recent debenture/stock exchange gave the operational flexability.No more,no $'s down or wheeler-dealler deals on financing. As market demands go up so do sales" Remember a 3-6k miles used excursion, lets say, all the bugs are out and your ready to run and gun"

I think with a safe all your looking for is time. Time , to hear someone trying to break in, time to hear talking, time to have a neighbor call the pd, if unusual people around.Otherwise, if you have a safe, they will think you have other Daily expensive items laying around.Also , might add why take the THINGS" be natural and you don't have to have the family jewels. The only good safe is the one over your head, where your gun is stored, and believe it or not MEDICINE.Kids these days are breaking in for opiate drugs etc. ( pain pills )

I am unable to use a RIG anymoree because of an accident, but I always worried. When I walked up to the RIG, I thought, you are a fool to drive this monster. Then if a bell went off, it was heart attack time. Firt, when rving yrs &yrs ago, I had three blow outs. After that I got new tires every tear.Then after I heard of the hold up scare, I was armed like I was when I was a cop. One night the auto generator started up and that was it, it was a heart attack Lastly In Mexico, a band of Mexican thugs came to us and we couldn,t get the slide in to take off, my 320 lb driver got them to go away. So, I kinda understand what you are saying

Mike Thompson.Bought 08 excursion.In a accident at a RV park,now my brother is using RV for warranty etc. I can,t use RV ever again.The service dept.,Rick Lacey in particular has told my brother and my assistant what needs to be done, when, and educated these non-rv people for me. They make a profit,and drive hard bargins,and now we will see what happens to the industry.I just know nice people win and the service mgr and staff have tried. I,ve had some wins and some losses in warranty work" but that is the business.The sales dept are just that " they sell " and you have to do your homework. Right now, I don,t think anyone knows the value of a new or used rig is:, so I don,t look for that answer.

MY 05 Excursion had to be sold because the slider problems. My problem was they wouldn,t come in all the way, orr just not at all. We couldn,t trust the rig. What would have happened if we were in Mexico etc. Cost alot of money for this problem. Got a new 08 not able to use because of injury. but hopefully it will be ok.

Thanks for the blogs. I want nothing from this story, just to let people know how some parks operate. I,m just concerned for the person who would have a situation like this, and not be able to handle it. Their is no scam here, just information for what it is like out there.

Park refuses to pay for massive injuries. On Jan 1 this yr, I went for a mo stay to outdoor resorts Indio, ca. Pd $2500 for mo stay. New rig,second night while walking dog for evening, security guard ran over me, went to hospital, in hospital bed from Jan to July, major hip operation and full time care giver plus never able to use brand new rv.Over 130k so far plus full time caregiver. uotdoor resorts say,s sue us. Refused even to refund $2500, against park procedures. Live alone, can,t drive and this has ruined my life.Now not only money spent, I have to sell $300k purchase priced when purchased for loss and possiblee more surgery,s. I know people might not believe this possiible, but actual events. From Outdoor to date not one red cent. The resort didn,t even forward theambulance bill so after 5 mos I got a credit ding and the hospital is going after my credit with a $93780 balance due them. This has been the worst experience of my life. The pain is so bad the surgeon is sugesting I have my spinal nerves cut to get rid of the pain. I wanted to got there for 30 days. Made reservations. arrived on the first or 2nd of month to stay for 30 days for 2500 dollars. Walking dog second night about 10 pm. Security vehiche runs crashes into me. Taken to hospital. In hospital bed nowabout 4mos. They deposited 2500 and said, park policy no refunds.From day after accident.Have surgery next wk one of three.Most horrible experience
